More Than Just a Name — It’s a Legacy

We don’t cut corners. We don’t rush. Because Ant taught us—we can’t keep pushing without those things

Anthony's Legacy

In 2022, we lost Anthony — Sierra’s little brother, the first to call her “See-Sarah,” and the one who challenged her most but called her for everything. He questioned why she wanted a sibling… then became her kitchen partner, quiet motivator, and forever taste-tester.

At just 21, Ant was wise beyond his years. He’d call from across states asking how to make something, show up unannounced to raid her fridge, or surprise her with how good his own cooking had become.

She remembers watching him in his first apartment, proudly making birria tacos — authentic, flavorful, and full of pride. When their younger brother Aiden didn’t want onions, Ant pulled out one of Sierra’s rules:

“I’m not making special plates. You try everything together first — then you can decide.”

That was Anthony.
That was Old Dude.
Old Dude’s Catering is dedicated to him.

The Legacy Lives On...

Grandma Thelma was the soul of our kitchen. Her hands moved with love, her food spoke without words, and her legacy still guides every dish we serve. She didn’t just teach Sierra how to cook — she taught her how to feed people with purpose. The warmth, the wisdom, the “taste this, baby” moments? That’s Grandma in every bite.

Uncle Kidd — Stanley, the neighborhood legend — was our biggest food fan and the first to give Anthony his nickname: Old Dude. With no teeth and a big love for casseroles, he devoured Sierra’s very first green bean casserole like it came out of a five-star kitchen. He made it to every event, left with two plates minimum, and kept the table full of laughter (and arguments with Uncle Ronald). His voice, his silliness, and his pride still echo in our kitchens today.

the hands behind every plate

Old Dude’s might be Sierra’s to run, but it’s powered by family. Every dish carries the spirit of someone who helped shape it — from Grandma Thelma’s kitchen wisdom to Uncle Kidd’s casseroles, Anthony’s drive, and the helping hands that still show up today. Whether it’s her mom wrapping trays, her niece helping with setup, or her brothers cracking jokes while taste-testing, this business is built on love. And once you book with us, you’re part of the family too.
